Southeast Colorado | I suppose the thing is Joe.................that if everyone had record yields, the yield number would be over 200.
It doesn't take everyone having records for the nation to set a record. I'm definitely of the belief that it'd be much easier to predict a national yield than it would be to predict my yield. The national yield is smoothed out over all the good and bad areas every year.
Now with all that said.............not sure why I'm defending the USDA. Haven't really ever decided what purpose their outdated forecasting and counting system serves anymore. But since they didn't ask my opinion.............reckon I need to learn to market my stuff knowing that they're going to be throwing numbers out there and darts at the wall. | |
