There were buggy whip manufacturers in 1900 who said that new-fangled contraption called the horseless carriage would never catch on in America. How'd they fare by 1920?
Others here in this post have stated facts about changing markets. Heck...it wasn't that many years ago that oats were a major crop in the US. Not any more.
Adapt. Innovate. Hedge accordingly. Nothing remains static.
