Amherst WI | Township owns four trucks. 3 are just single axel 5 yard trucks with plows and a wing. There is also an Oshkosh with a V plow and wing for when it’s gets real bad.
The road department is all part time as needed people. Most are farmers, retired people and a small business owner.
I’m towards the bottom of the list if they need help.
Maybe I’m biased but I think they (we) do a good job with minimal labor. We seem to be more timely than other townships and sometimes beat the county out. | |
