southern MN
My somewhat worn IHC 300, Oliver S77, nor Ford 960 would not lift a JD 7000 4 row planter with fertilizer, even with the fert not real full.

I even got a bigger (fatter) hyd cylinder, and it was a no go.

I was disappointed on the Ford, that shoulda done it, I think a hyd pump rehab would have maybe helped that work.

But, anyhow, the old tractors struggle with the newer machines and lift.

In a pinch one year, I ran the 4 row 7000 with a NH 1720 tractor, speed was a little slow to use all the 27 hp... but it worked great, full fertilizer and all.
