Murfreesboro, Tennessee | I enlisted in the USMC reserves and it was a great experience. BUT, be very careful of any promises they make. My recruiter out and out lied to me. No big deal for me, but it might be for others. I would make sure you have EVERYTHING in writing before you sign ANYTHING.
Some good responses thus far. I had several friends of mine go enlisted route in the reserves, which was 2 weeks during summer and one weekend a month. When they decided they wanted to be full time, they went to Officer's Candidate School during the summer (was able to split it up and go over 2 summers so they did not miss any school). Once they graduated, they were commissioned. Pretty sweet deal really and they had experience in the enlisted ranks which made they much better officers. | |
