SC Wisconsin | I like the idea. Construction methods have probably changed, but we looked at a 70's era house that was built that way with pre-stressed concrete slabs. I'm a bit further into the land of road salt than you, but 30 years of that had eaten away at the seams and exposed the rebar. I walked out of that basement room really fast. Whoever bought that house was going to have to get new slabs in - that didn't seem like a job I wanted to tackle. Like I said, construction techniques have probably changed, but something to watch for in your design.
