What corn yield levels do you realistically estimate/forecast when doing projections for the coming year? Do you use a yield that you have never achieved? Do you use your all time record yield as a realistic goal?

If the USDA had used the all time record as their base line prediction this week.....we would have the 2nd or 3rd smallest stocks to use ratio in history. 2017 was the year....176.6bu/ac

They are penciling in 179.5. A number that has NEVER been achieved.....NEVER. And they’ve got it penciled in.
