But our farmland taxes are less than Nebraska or Minnesota. I have to wonder how long it will take for those in power to tax the few. Two thirds of the population lives in either Cook or collar counties. And more down staters are moving north to the better jobs. There is no longer a farm vote here. We are the "whatever they give us " vote.
