| jdironman, from your response, I can see you can think for yourself, unlike a lot of Trump supporters. I started at 2009 as President Obama was sworn in 2009. America was still in the throes of a recession as the unemployment numbers got worse as the year progressed. The economy was not recovering when he was elected but was stabilizing. To ignore Presidents Obama's legacy and not acknowledge anything his administration achieved is disingenuous. Trump is dangerous. He is unaware or unable to foresee the consequences of his actions. Starting a trade war with your closest allies and enemies at the same time is a foolish thing, a child could see that. Example, America has a small surplus in steel trade with Canada and yet Trump has imposed tariffs on Canadian steel under the guise of " National Security". Really. You can defend this? Canada has now retaliated by imposing tariffs on American goods as any thinking person would expect them to do. Likewise the EU. Grain prices are dropping, markets are being lost, maybe forever and yet Trump continues his bellicose rhetoric. Makes him feel like a man, makes farmers feel insecure. If your argument is that Trump is shaking things up and that's a good thing, then I could say Stalin shook things up and that did not turn out so well. Putin cannot believe his luck, a US president who is intent on isolating America from the rest of the world, breaking up beneficial trade deals, breaking military alliances, setting American's against each other and attacking the free press. This is a failed businessman, married 3 times and pays off porn stars when caught having sex with them ( while his 3rd wife is giving birth to his child). Rails against immigration and marries 2 immigrants. America needs to wake up and realize they have a dunce in the White House before he can do more damage. | |
