| Why, because they didn't just roll over for trump. Remember they didn't fight off the Americans in the War of 1812 and stay independent from the US all these years because they loved you so much.
The Canadians have just recently fast tracked a free trade deal with Europe, they'll rapidly expand their interest with the 500 million EU market as will the Europeans reciprocate. And they joined TPP which gives them a bigger market for their beef & grain. They have just finalized an oil pipeline to the west coast. They'll do just fine without us telling them what to do all the time.
