Washington Co Ks
I would let the head guy of you REC know and see what his response is before getting to excited. I get along very well with our utility people and help them out if I can. I like my electricity. I would think that they would pay some for the damage. I wouldn't try to make money out of it. I used to farm a place that had a pole in the middle of a field. A few years ago they were rebuilding the line so I asked about moving the line to eliminate the pole. The job foreman told me that that was in the plan and because the ground was a little soft they may reroute the line but wait until the wheat was harvested to pull the pole. I told him that as far as I was concerned they could go in to pull the pole while they were there unless they thought they would get stuck. I would rather contend with some ruts than to have to work around the pole. They pulled the pole then and the tracks weren't noticeable when harvesting.
