Central Ga | With farming some long hours I did miss part of my kids growing up. They are now 19 and 17. However, I always had the flexibility to never miss a school program and never miss but one elementary football game. No way I could have been there for all the activities if I was working for someone else. Do you not have the flexibility to cut loose at times and spend time with the family? If not, is that your choice or FIL's?? If at all possible take the time when you can. The farm will be there when you get back. Just saw the other post about the possibility you are milking cows. That probably complicates things some. If so, hire somebody to help with the milking. Might be tough to do, but would it be easier than the time missed with family. Lots of good advice here. Good luck and best wishes to you and your family.
