| I think you nailed it with your observation,,,his heart isn't in it, and if that's the way it is, then that's OK and it's time to make a change. By the time you are 30 either you have developed a toughness to get it done no matter what or you haven't. Some people, no matter the business or occupation, just aren't of that demeanor, and that's not a criticism, just a fact and nothing really to be ashamed of. To the OP, sounds like from the little you told us that your heart isn't in it. Either sit down with FIL and wife and come up with a future plan that you get excited about or get on with life in some other capacity. As some others have tried to tell you, other choices may not suit you either, so some serious thought is needed. If you stay in farming, debt is a necessary evil, if you don't have that comfort level, then time to do something else. FIL may be pushing on just for you to have a future, time to talk. | |
