Just say you're paying cash, not using insurance. That is the truth.

Samaritan Ministries has something called save to share in addition to the normal health sharing newsletter.

If you get into that one you are supposed to set money aside every year in case a member has a problem that exceeds the coverage of the normal health sharing ministry. That amount is $399 for a family that has 3 or more family members (less for a couple and less still for an individual).

The max they will share via the newsletter is $250,000. After that save to share kicks in.

The limitation on how much save to share will cover is 50% of how much is currently set aside by all members. Currently that number is in the millions of dollars (I just called to ask).

Any money that is left over on save to share in one year is rolled over to the next year. Theoretically you could pay nothing of your $399 for 10 years and then on year 10 there could be tons of save to share needs and it would cost you $4,000 out of what you have been saving for 10 years. Statistically, it's not going to work that way.
