I would still be doing the farming if my health would allow it, as the big farmers around here look to be living in a lot better homes and driving nicer cars and trucks than I can afford to. with land values here I am receiving less than 4% on my rent, so I guess you think that is too much?
Same here the tennants farming have a lot more bigger and nicer "STUFF" than most LL's.......remember a good friend in early '80's bought a new Lincoln Town Car and as interest was high/profits low he goes too LL's asking for rent reductions..... he got some pretty comical remarks from LL's ....and its farmers that are driving the rents/land prices....I don't think there isn't a LL around here that could not get more if he shopped his land.... thing I hate most is "new" guy offers LL big rent increase and then next year demands to re-negoiate lower and LL to save face caves in |
