We combine corn with a 693 and no-till beans with a 12R15" JD 1535 bean planter on a 1570 caddy cart. Since the bean planter is the same width as corn head we just plant beans the same direction as the corn was shelled. Works great. Never jumped a chain.
Have to pull a few stalks out of the closing wheel bracket/spring when filling with beans, but otherwise no issues. Have spring downforce and can set the rows that run in combine tracks heavier, independent of the other rows, if necessary.
do you have much in the way of maintenance issues? Lots of moving parts on that unit. The one we had did a nice job, just got tired of working on it all the time.
