Southwestern Minnesota | I agree Denice that there is a huge difference in those two statements. Men and women definitely view relationships from a very different perspective. The two books that have been mentioned- Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus and The Five Love Languages are good books to read to reflect on these differences. Another good biblical resource is the materials from the Focus on the Family's "The Truth Project". It is several years old now, and has many lessons in the whole series. But there is one that is particularly geared to the relationship between men and women and it uses the text from Ephesians Chapter 5. Several verses in this book and chapter of the Bible speak to husbands loving their wives and wives respecting their husbands. That's a simplified concept, but I think a lot can be gained by reflecting on those verses, for both men and women. | |
