You can have a bowl of ice cream with or without the cherry and that's fine. Maybe she needed that cherry and it was important to her or the ice cream just wasn't going to be complete. If you cared for her wouldn't you have made sure she had that cherry on her ice cream whether you wanted one or not for yourself?
Maybe think of it as buying a pickup. Some people don't care what color they get and others what a specific color or no pickup. Or...maybe you prefer a manual transmission but could get along with an automatic. Maybe she doesn't know how to drive a manual transmission so an automatic is the only way to go. Point is, sometimes you do for others that are important to them even though it makes no difference to you. |
