sw ontario | In Globe and Mail it states Farmland Partners which started trading in April has fallen 20% ,Gladstone Land Corp. which began trading Jan. '13 is down 17.5%.........all a good thing as so much better when the land is owned by farmers and the guys farming it . A local appraiser says worst case is when a Dr. or Lawyer buys a farm because most times as soon as value increases much they flip it or raise rents. A firm from the UK has bought significant land in our county and now they look at a 25-35 yr. plan . | |
