don't have corn, but have livestock...i feed the cattle pellets and other by products from corn/soys/what ever they get cheap to make them from plus hay/straw ect.
Can you get crop insurance on hay fields? silage to me would the the same as a hay field....
I am just wanting to understand crop insurance..... You can buy what is called a NAP policy on non isurable crops such as alfalfa,grass,feed, also I take out wheat pasture insurance too. It costs 250.00 for each differnt crop unsure what the cap is but it might be 1750.00 ? fsa office should be able to tell you about nap. I do it on my hay and some shorgum feed . |
