The crop insurance is based on whatever yield is determined the field will make, it is your choice whether you want to harvest the whole plant or just the grain. If cutting sileage normally strips are left to determine the actual yield in grain that the field would make and you are paid only for the bushels you are short of the gaurantee.
This just doesn't seem right to me....
