donny - 2/6/2011 11:12 deereman it sounds like you did a good job, and your heat bills prove it. When you said you dug around perimiter did you do this from the outside of the building or on the inside. I am looking to do the same thing. if done on the inside the outer portion of the posts will not be insulated. thanks donny

The wood posts serve as insulation (think log house). I've seen it done both ways (insulation on pole and no insulation). Most do not insulate the pole - i've seen.
