Nw Iowa | I would think that most of the codes wouldn’t be that hard if building from new. Here double Sheetrock between house and attached garage, fire escape windows and you can still use a holding tank for septic. People are building shouses all over with same concept for retirement homes, summer getaways, lake houses on small lakes etc. co, I think that is where putting a upstairs living in a shop might be more difficult, trying to meet fire code. Unless you are in a city, rural codes are generally alittle more lax. | |
