“These are the times that try men's souls.”
Toby we built a shop just like you are asking about. It was put on a farm we have in Utah. I can't remember the exact measurements as dad and my brother were kind of over it at the time. Only thing I asked when building it was to make a roll up door on each end so if needed I could pull a semi straight threw if needed. The living quarters was built in a corner of the shop main room with kitchen and bathroom and bedroom. There was stairs built on inside of shop to the top of this living quarters to allow a couple of more bedrooms to be built on a second level if ever needed. A lean to on outside of shop so parking or equipment storage out of weather under it to walk door to kitchen. On the inside of shop it was so my father could also pull into and step right out of truck into kitchen and truck was out of the way and under cover in case of snow. Father was disabled later in life, it allowed him to go to ranch and go into apartment and cook his lunch meal. It was well worth it to get him out of the house for the day. My brother uses to for a break room while putting up hay or if needed he can spend the night there. It also doubles as place for hunters stay during season for them hunting our lands.
