Well, considering in last 150 years we've gone from sod houses on the prairie to self driving tractors, I'm not too concerned about what agriculture will look like 400 years out. I won't even speculate on the changes in 50 years out. Population growth is driving development, and that's slowing down.
Right now if its a problem, it's a localized problem. The US isn't running out of farmland, and the world surely isn't.
