I would ask why you think it is a big deal. Will it lead to mass starvation? Are farmers who sell their land for development not being compensated adequately? Are you afraid that if too much land goes out of production, less commodities will be produced and prices will rise too high?
Hopefully you aren’t one of those that think crp is ruining our rural life either then, especially since crp is only 10: years and development is pretty much permanent. Not arguing just stating my opinion, personally I think both have pros and cons |
