| Not saying this applies to every atheist but perhaps their refusal to allow any belief in a higher power to enter their noggins is the extreme dislike for authority over them. Maybe they programmed themselves and want to be their own god? I’ve known many a person with a god complex. They constantly say hey look at me, look at me!
