Corn and soybeans don't need nutrients deep. In fact research shows they don't care. Plants take in lots of water from the top 2 inches of soil and when they do they will take in those nutrients. Get used to it because tillage days are numbered. Been no till here since 1990. Terraced hills and even river bottoms. Doesn't matter.
