| Not country clubs necessarily but other avenues for career advancement and political influence have commonly included golf, long boozy lunches, strip joint outings or standing around smoking a cigarette with the right people in the designated smoking area. The diversity and foreign hire mandates starting about 20 years ago triggered a new set of congregational issues as the beneficiaries of those policies tend to stick together.
It's all kind of like high school.
He/she/it never did say if they were leaving Deere or CIH or what. But like I said, it's the same thing all over.
