Iowa | I haven't had any Wagyu, but I have eaten at some upscale places (not by my choice) where the the meals were over $100.00 each. None were really that good as far as I was concerned. I guess I'm not that classy.
The worst I had was some trout at Jackson, Wyoming. You'd think they'd know how to prepare it, being that close to the Snake River. It was like a breaded tar shingle. Even a fish sandwich from most any fast food place would have been far better. I probably should have ordered a steak. Maybe they would have known what to do with that. I'd be tempted try some Wagyu at a place like that next time just to see what it is like.
My favorite meals mostly came from Mom & Pop places in small towns. | |
