MN | Haven't ever heard of a grain cart with a 17" auger. If that is what was listed I would assume it was a typo. I went to google and typed in killbros 1175 grain cart specs, found out it is actually a 17" and called a 17" not an 18". Took all of 30 seconds.
If I worked at an auction company and was told to measure the auger and it measured 17", I would assume it was called an 18", but doesn't hurt to check for sure. Really not a big deal in the scheme of things. Its not like that model is a 17" with optional upgrade 18" auger and the item was misrepresented. No harm no foul as you got to the bottom of it.
