Yeah, I could see a problem if the manufacturer changed sizes at some serial # and the auctioneer listed the wrong serial #. Auctioneers have lots of equipment to cover and they don't pretend to be experts about every piece they sell, that's why they take a lot of pictures and tell customers to go look it over before bidding. Like you said, in 5 minutes he could have looked the specs up on the internet. It sounds like the sort of problem an 8 year old would have... My brother once drove 5 hrs to look at what was described as a very nice truck cab at Winger, MN. When he got there he asked 4 employees where it was and he got 4 different descriptions -- it's the blue one in that row, its the white one, its the gray one, it must be that red one. Turned out that each one was right a little bit, it was a beat up cab painted white on one side with a blue top and somebody had troweled some gray bondo over some big holes and sprayed rust spots with red primer paint. They forgot to mention that the windshield had been knocked out some years in the past, and that somebody had stuck a few screws thru a piece of plywood to partially cover the hole where the sleeper had been. Some people's descriptions aren't quite as accurate as other people's descriptions---that's life.
