E ND | I work at a dealership and with several independent inspectors that handle auction units.
The fact of the matter is that whoever made the mistake is probably embarrassed by it but keep in mind the number of units you'd have to know quite a bit about to get it all right every day. I have very little knowledge of grain carts but 17" vs. 18" on the wrong tape measure or from an ackward angle/ladder/etc. is a pretty honest mistake.
