| Trust but verify. I would have set aside what the auctioneer said and done some research to determine what size auger was actually offered on that model of cart by the manufacturer. Now there’s no way to know 100% if that is correct but at least gives you another data point that they probably offered 17 and not 18. Then typically if they offer more than one size it will be in 2 or 3” increments, for sample 14,16,18. Or 18 & 21. It wouldn’t make a lot of sense to offer a 17 and 18. In this case I would have assumed it must be 17 and then base your decision to look at it from there. | |
