Wisconsin | Assuming you're in Minnesota, I don't know MN law, or WI that well either, but I do know that in WI you've established part of adverse possession of the land you've been farming that he claims is the wrong boundary. Don't let him change anything without a fight, legal or just keep farming it. Adverse possession needs 15 years of open, adverse possession, in WI, the only part that's not clear is if he didn't realize the boundary was correct, then the 15 years might not have elapsed, but don't do his lawyering for him, that is, document that he's not happy you're farming it and let him try to correct it if he wants.
You've also maintained access well enough that there's no way I'd see he could cut off the access through that route. No idea if you'd get 30' on each side, but I'd keep maintaining it as you need to, and let him worry about it if it bothers him that much. | |
