| 75 acres in 1986. My dad had to co-sign but I never needed his financial help on it. Prices were very depressed then during the farm crises. I was just starting and had no debt yet. Had it paid for in 5 years. Got lucky during the 88 drought and caught some very scattered showers and had a good corn crop which paid well that year. It is the best piece I own today. I feel bad for the family that had to sell it because of the farm crises. It's a 95 CSR piece that is probably worth 8 times what I paid for it. Will leave it to my son. | |
