60 grams carbs and my NET goal for the DAY is under 20. Yikes! Serving size makes soooo much difference too. They say if you eat by the food pyramid a person will average around 300 grams carbs per day. I bet that is way low for many people. Add in an extra desert or a can or two of pop and a snack cake or candy bar and it could easily be over 500. Carbs are not bad for a metabolically healthy person (I'm not). The problem is too many carbs eaten too often keeping insulin extremely high all the time leading to insulin resistance. Once a person is insulin resistance then is when the problems really begin because it snowballs. Being more reasonable with carbs early on in life could help a person never get in metabolic trouble like I did. Most will not listen or change their habits though. John
