You may want to know that the synthetic grease(well not synthesized but altered molecularly) that was made for axle grease in the early 1900s was what Crisco was originally made for.Then with some slick marketing we all ate tons of the crap.You remember the woman frying in Crisco TV ad and it all came back into the glass measure cup ? Well the rest of the hydrodge was on her arterial walls.Proctor and Gamble,Dupont and the likes and their control of your dumb elected officials is a 100 plus year gig.So the farmers who grew animals that made lard took a screwing for decades.I think I read they even paid the American Heart association to publish false data.Please use animal based or expellor pressed oil to cure your cast iron,its a conspiracy in
a simple world,,hehe.


I still use lard.
