SC WI | Not much happens to trespassers, I actually have been on both sides. The hunting party I was with got permission to drive this old mans property(pretty laid up, hasn’t walked his own property in years type) on closing weekend. As we walked in, ran into another hunter, that was barely across an old fence. We were polite and tried to move along as quickly as possible to limit disruption. After the drive, a sheriff came to our vehicles, informed us we were called in for trespassing, a neighbor, came to represent the accusing party. No tickets were issued. When I got home I got my plat book, and did some research, come to find out the accuser was encroaching, had been for years and was the actual trespasser..... | |
