It happens every 35 years. Happened in the 50’s, 80’s, and now the 2020’s. It’s what commodity markets do. We overproduce and politicians use us as pawns. Everyone had from 2008 to 2018 to get ready for this. Prices would be going here irregardless of who is in the Whitehouse. As long as we are the shining city on the hill and the bastion of freedom in the world we will have adversaries that want to bring us down. So if it wasn’t trump and China it would have been Hillary and something else.! No matter what prices are headed to 12.5% of range some time. It’s baked into the commodity recipe.
I’m thankful for the amount of support that the govt and people of this country give to farmers. Other small business owners don’t get much of anything.
So you say it was going to happen regardless of who was in the whitehouse? getting involved in a trade war and killing our markets had nothing to do with it? I think not. I will agree on the overproduction part but strongly disagree with the rest. |
