When Trump started the trade war he should have come in with both barrels blazing instead of playing patty cake and it would have been over by now. Apple and the rest should have been hit boom, hard , fast and over.
Ag has lost market share maybe forever
If he wouldn’t have declared war on the whole world that would have helped. He could have handled China and brought the rest of the world with him, no one likes the way the Chinese trades with them. If instead of putting tariffs on European products he would have presented a unified front to the Chinese the war would have been won by now, my opinion.
Also the Pacific Trade deal was a perfect way of fighting China, have the rest of the Pacific rim countries with us and give them aid instead.
Very little fore thought in my opinion. Some allies in this trade would be helpful, who is on our side ? Anyone ?
To be clear, I think action against China was long over due. He just didn’t need to pi$$ off everyone else in the process. |
