I do it with China bearings. Makes them last much longer. They have little grease in them to start with, and poor quality at that.

Easy solution to that, buy better quality bearings. Better to buy a good bearing that will last than ruin a new cheap one before you even put it on. Still won’t last as good as a good quality bearing

Cheap is usually not less expensive


If you match the bearing with the applications, you can save money if the desire is there. If it is on a $1000 hidden shaft and 6 hours to replace, use the best.

If it is on a slow cheap shaft that is easily observed and fast to replace, why not save $30+ bucks.
