Ah. Ok. That makes sense. I have always agreed with the idea of slowing it down for the same reason you describe. It would be devastating to the health professionals.

After learning more about the herd immunity idea I have changed my opinion a bit on what might be the best way to proceed going forward. Once we know we have a bit of control on the rate of spread perhaps it might be best to allow the lower risk individuals to put themselves on the “front line” to hopefully gain immunity for the benefit of the high risk individuals. My concern still remains that we need to ensure that those that require medical attention have access to it. If we move forward in a way that keeps the medical system from being overrun we have done all we can do for them at that point as we can’t stop it.
