Ne Iowa | We just went through a similar situation with my mom. We kept her in her home as long as we could as that is what she desperately wanted. That turned out to not be the safest place for her but it was what made her happy. Living an hour away was a pain but I absolutely cherish that time I got to spend with her and help her when she needed it. I wish I could still be looking after her. You are human, not a miracle worker and not every decision you make will be the right one. None of us always make the right decisions. Some of us rarely do. You have a life of your own to take care of so take comfort in knowing you did the best you could. This virus has really complicated things and there are no easy answers.
Get hospice involved, they are priceless.
