Sorry to hear this. It's never easy. Human nature is to blame yourself for any number of things, especially after reading some of the replies you got to your OP. Please don't let yourself do that. It is what it is; from what you wrote, you may have not been particularly willing to accept the POA. You did what you could. It was always in God's hands.  God bless.
