Pittsburg, Kansas | Beans are pretty carby, but it depends on how low a person is trying to go. If extremely low like 20 grams they are out. Even at 50 grams which is considered the maximum for ketosis in a metabolically healthy person (but not diabetic) it would be tough or very small portion occasionally. 120 grams opens up a lot more possibilities while still watching portion size. SAD with recomended grains and vegetables is something like 250-300 grams and if a person drinks a bunch of sugared pop or sports drinks can easily exceed 500.
