NE Indiana | These results are very interesting to me. I have been a part of starter fert trials for the last 5 years and there hasn't been a consistent yield advantage some years yes some years no. However every year (even before I was a part of it) the treatments with Starter have always been around 1.5-2% drier moisture at harvest. It appears you don't see that response. Have you been doing this multiple years? and has harvest moisture ever stood out in your results in the past?
Our starter plots are a mix between 10-34-0 in furrow and different rates of 28% 2X2. We have never done any trials with a low salt NPK mix. | |
