Mid-Michigan
This is an ongoing debate on this site. Those who use it are going to continue to use it. Those who dont seem to want to talk those of us who do to quit. I'm not sure why. Sort of like no tillers. For me, it's just part of my fertility program. Im going to use x amount of fertilizer no matter what the delivery system is. It's a way for me to give my corn a little jumpstart in usual cold conditions. I need a little more phosphorus than I spread and it's a way for me to deliver micros. Several are going to post that there is no yield difference from starter and non. For me, my corn looks better with it at the start without costing me much more (liquid is definitely more money). I'm growing good corn for my area and I'm staying with my program. For those who dont want to use starter. Fine. Do it your way.
