Pilot Grove, Missouri | Tom, Your results make sense to me. My accidental test, would put the rows that did not get starter short 30# of P and 12# of N. I should have went out and hand spread as close as I could get to that amount and then I would have had a fair test. I didn't harvest it seperate as it was 2 rows in the middle of the combine pass. I did pull random ears in a few spots and weighed them and there was a pretty big difference. I don't remember exactly how much as I new it wasn't a fair comparisonso I didn't document it. I still use dry starter and believe it pays, for me. Only added cost is my time filling the planter, due to if I wasn't putting it on with the planter it would be added to the broadcast rate.
