South West MN | Elevator stopped taking wet corn at noon a few days this fall. Try hauling in all your corn in 4.5 hours a day and see how much you get done.
Lots of corn was over 20% moisture. I had some at 22% sure is nice to have your own dryer then.
So 15 cents less drying role for 22 cents and 10 cents basis is 47 cents add in combine when I want and no lines.
Might not need storage for everything, but it is sure nice to have it for a good percentage.
Notice some he big guys spend days unfit for harvest hauling grain out of there bins to the elevator. | |
